'Flower-hands' farm (near Melbourne)

For a flower company we are looking for people who are eager to work. You will get paid well so a good work attitude is expected.

You need to commit for at least 3 - 6 months of work. Anything less than this will not be considered.

The job is not eligible for a second year visa as it is too close to Melbourne. So if you would work at the farm you can easily visit Melbourne on weekends.

95% of the work is indoors, so very comfortable in the Winter months.

There are 2 houses where people can rent a room if required. Couples can stay together in 1 room, else the rule is 1 person per room.

Gardener/handy(wo)man outback station (WA)

For an outback station in rural Western Australia ("near" Halls Creek) we are looking for a fulltime gardener/handy(wo)man to start asap.

This company is looking to hire full time people but consider filling the overlay with having backpackers fill the positions.

Duties:

  • Maintaining large station hardens
  • General upkeep
  • Tidy and maintain the buildings and facilities

You must

  • Have experience in gardening (planting, pruning, trimming, weeding, mulching, mowing, fertilising)
  • Have good comunication, organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have a current driver's license
  • Have Chemical Users Accreditation (desirable)

Quality air-conditioned, single room accommodation and all meals are provided.

This job doesn't count for a second year visa.

Gardener/cleaner outback station (NT)

For a station (very rural) about 100 km's from Tennant Creek (NT) we are looking for a full-time gardener. They are looking for people for a long term stay, but might consider backpackers to fill the time until they have found long term people.

Duties:

  • Maintaining large station gardens
  • Maintenance of swimming pool
  • Cleaning of accommodation buildings

You must:

  • Have experience in gardening (planting, pruning, trimming, weeding, mulching, mowing, fertilising)
  • Have good comunication, organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated

For a big outback station (cattle) in WA we are looking for station (all-rounder) hands.

What are the duties:

-          Gardening

As they also own a retail shop in town, we would also be looking for someone to help out in the shop as well. This could be a combined job together with working at the station.

You will live in quarters on the station (please do bring your own bedding/swag) and your meals are all included as well as is a weekly wage.

You must speak and understand English and be a trustworthy, hardworking person.

You work in a group of 3 people and the total plants your tram plant, will be divided by 3. You will only work from about 6.30am till about lunch with a few breaks in that time. Each person can plant between 2000 and 3500 plants in that time.

Cook/gardener outback station (SW QLD)

We are looking for an outback station for a backpacker who wants to work from asap till mid April as a cook/gardener.

The outback stations are cattle stations and produce grass-fed beef for export to Japan, the USA and South East Asia.

You will need to be able to have basic cooking skills as you will be preparing breakfast/lunch/dinners for the employees (up till about 12 people). You will also be asked to do the cleaning of the kitchen and areas and some gardening as well.

You will be paid $170 per day + superannuation.

Farm work (apples) in Queensland

There are positions available working on an apple farm thinning and picking apples.

The farm signs of for your 2nd year visa.

The rate is $22.13 per hour and you will work 33 hrs per week. Could be more further in the season.
