Breaking Patches - Located off Michaelmas Cay, this great location is renowned for its forest of corals, large sea fans and black coral tree’s, yielding some 400 species of coral in its shallow lagoon’s.

The Department of Environment and Heritage has granted Compass a special permit to visit this pristine wonder of the reef.

  • 07:30 – Check in direct to Compass boat at Cairns Marina, 'A-Finger', Marlin Wharf Berth 18
  • 08:00 –Depart Marlin Marina Cairns to the Outer Great Barrier Reef
  • 10:15 – Arrive at your first Great Barrier Reef Location
  • 12:30 – BBQ Lunch with fresh salads
  • 13:00 - Cruise to 2nd Reef Location
  • 15:00 – Boom netting (only available on Compass Cruises)

Please be aware that Queensland Dive Laws are the Strictest in the World and certain Medical Conditions and Medications WILL prevent you from Scuba Diving.
You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire before participating in any scuba activities. 

The Minimum age for participating in a resort dive is 12 years old.
