Barron Half Day Rafting

The Barron River is perfect for anyone who has never tried White Water Rafting or those looking for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Your guide will take you on an eco-adventure through the Barron Gorge National Park aboard your 8 person inflatable raft, tackling grade 2 and 3 rapids including the infamous Rooster Tail where an action photo will be taken. Plus you’ll get a chance to try raft surfing (dependent on water levels) and to cool off with a swim in Lake Placid.

Includes:
-Up to 2 hours White Water Rafting
-Tea and coffee at the end of your rafting trip
-Guaranteed water levels all year round
-All tuition - no experience necessary (most of your fellow rafters will have never rafted before)
-All accommodation transfers

Extra costs: AU$30 for insurance charges, land management agency prescribed daily client fee, water release fees, transfer costs, GST and administration charges is payable on the day of travel.

FULL DAY TULLY RIVER WHITE WATER RAFTING

Experience the World Heritage Rainforest while navigating the white water rapids of the mighty Tully River. Each raft is controlled by a highly trained river guide who teaches you the correct techniques during the day and who will share with you the history and wonders of this magnificent landscape which few get to see.

Cairns - Depart 6.30am to travel to Tully and meet Mission Beach rafters

Morning - Rafting in the Tully Gorge after safety briefing and paddling instruction

Lunch - Delicious BBQ lunch beside the river

Afternoon - Raft the Tully Gorge to today’s finish point, then change into dry clothes

Tully - Arrive at the Cafe to view & buy photos of the day’s action, return to Cairns approx 6.30pm

Departs: Daily from Cairns & Northern Beaches at 6.30am / Mission Beach at 7.30am

Returns: Mission Beach at 5pm / Cairns at 6.30pm

Xtreme rafting

What's included: (Max 24 passengers - Only 4 Rafts)
-Typically the first trip on the river each day with a greater chance to see native wildlife
-Guaranteed small groups (24 passengers only) allowing you to raft faster and further, with less interruptions
-Highly experienced senior guides who will take you on a more thrilling path through the rapids
-Extra challenges such as rock jumping, rapid swimming and raft surfing (shown above left)

Afternoon - Rafting in the Tully Gorge , stopping to try raft surfing, rapid swimming and rock jumping. We raft to today’s finish point, then change into dry clothes

Tully - We have a brief comfort stop, chance to view & purchase photos of the day’s action, approximate return to Mission Beach 4.30pm / Cairns 6.00pm

Departs: Cairns & Northern Beaches daily 6.30am & Mission Beach daily at 7.30am
Returns: Mission Beach at 4.30pm & Cairns at 6.00pm
