The holiday season has just ended and a new public holiday is already around the corner.
Australia Day on January 26th!
Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.
All over Australia there will be many events and things to do. Check out what to do and where to go: https://www.australiaday.com.au/. Dress up in colors of the Australian flag or the country colors (gold and green).
Also note that many shops (such as supermarkets) will have other opening (closing) times.
