Airlie Beach to Townsville
🚐 About 4 hours (around 270 km)
Head north on the Bruce Highway through Bowen, the Mango Capital, and on to Townsville. Visit the Strand foreshore and the Castle Hill lookout at sunset. Start with a swim at Airlie's lagoon, then drive north through the mango farms near Bowen. Townsville has the Strand beachfront, a good esplanade for an evening stroll, and a wide choice of restaurants.
