Coastal route via Wilsons Promontory.
The inland and coastal run from Melbourne to Sydney, via the Princes Highway and the Southern NSW coast. Five to seven days gives time for Wilsons Promontory, Lakes Entrance and the Sapphire Coast.

Drive south-east via Foster. Walk to Squeaky Beach and Whisky Bay. The Prom has walking tracks. Squeaky Beach has white sand. Wombats can be seen at dusk.

Drive east to Lakes Entrance along the Gippsland Lakes. The Gippsland Lakes are large. Lakes Entrance has a footbridge. Fish and chips on the water are a treat.

Cross into NSW and drive to Eden on Twofold Bay. Eden has whale watching in season. Pambula has oysters. Check the weather.
