One of the world's great scenic drives.
Milford Sound is about four hours from Queenstown by road, with Fiordland scenery and waterfalls. Two or three days gives time for Te Anau, the Milford Road and a cruise.

Drive south via Kingston and Mossburn. Take a glow worm cave tour in the evening. Kingston has a steam train. Te Anau has glowworms.

Drive the Milford Road, stopping at the Mirror Lakes and The Chasm. Cruise the sound. The Milford Road is scenic. The Chasm is a short walk.
