Hobart to Coles Bay
🚐 About 2.5 to 3 hours (around 190 km)
Pick up your van in Hobart, stock up on food and water, and head north up the east coast. Break the drive at coastal towns such as Orford and Swansea, then continue to Coles Bay, the gateway to Freycinet National Park.

National parkRichardsons Beach campground
Beachfront sites inside Freycinet National Park. There is no online booking and sites fill months ahead. A ballot runs from 18 December to 10 February and at Easter. Vans over about 18 ft (5.5 m) will not fit. A parks pass is needed.
